Coming home. Over 400mi drive.
Our walk tired us out just enough. We drove the second leg of our trip to Tyler's folks house for a surprise visit. They were delighted, and so were we. Saw the folks, and saw Tyler's Dad and friend off to snowmobiling adventure. Fixed the computer, had a great chat, and cleaned out the fridge! It's no different at your house is it?
Then drove home and had leftovers. Passed out on the couch. Over 400 mi driven in 24 hours! Got a lot accomplished, dont you think?
This is how Tyler does leftovers in our house:
Homemade pita, hummus, and all the fixings. Nice dinner after short long weekend!

Cupcake supper
Tyler of course made up the recipe. Knowing how much I LOOOOOVE key lime pie (I promise it's not of a certain SHO series level). We have here a white cake, lime juice and zest base. And some secret ingredients that make them MOIST-ass cupcakes, not dry-assed cupcakes.
Tyler says the dents help hold on the frosting. I am skeptical that he is just hiding that he squished their brain tops trying to get them out of the pan... |
Some delicious turkey chili. |

The GYM is ON
Nothing like a little healthy competition! Our friends in Alaska have nothing better to do in all that snow and cold and darkness than push the limits with their workout. What they don't know is that we've made it a contest!
*We'll let them know after we get a head start, or they read this...do you read this JA?

Amazing soup and drinks and atmosphere. I could have moved in and had the seating area as a living room. Mexican wedding cookies were petite and wonderful. Service was great. Tyler kept grumbling that I stop taking pictures, but how would I show you all this?
A pint with our walk. Of course!
In search of sustenance, we finally found a bar. Food was great and beer was even better. Also, they had great home-grown artwork around of celebrities. Definitely seemed like the local hang out and everyone was REALLY nice.
